I purchased a second floor mat so that when one is getting cleaned and dried, another one is ready to go. It's not really absorbent like a chamois or sponge, and you can't wring it out to get the water out, but this material is heavy duty, think of a mouse pad but like much much thicker and way much much bigger, that's what it is. It is very comfy to step on and protects your SaunaPod floor so I'm happy with my purchase. right after using the mat, i clean it by just hosing it down with water and hang it on a clothes rack to dry outside. I might give it a good scrub with soap once a month.
